Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The key duties of this post are:
- To provide a service of care to clients which enables them to lead as independent a lifestyle as possible, ensuring that sensitivity, privacy and dignity is maintained at all times
- All aspects of personal care; preparing and serving meals; assistance to get in and out of bed
- Sitting service, live-in, waking nights, sleep ins or daily calls
- Working with client in the community
- To be flexible when emergencies arise
- To ensure that you attend regular supervisions, training and appraisals
- To be able to work as part of a team

Business working hours (domiciliary calls) are between 7.00am to 9.30pm, with some time off during the day; Waking nights between 9.00pm to 8.00am. Must be willing to work some weekends. You can choose to work part time or full time to suit your needs.

The person:
You need to be a positive, pro-active, caring, committed, honest, and reliable, able to work on your own or 2 to 1. To enjoy working with people, the willingness to learn and be guided, a people person and to engage with our clients. Experience is not essential as training, support and supervision will be given. If possible use of your own transport. You would either have an NVQ/RQF level 2 or 3 (or be willing to complete an RQF level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care).
